A Tale of Three Nests
Mom continues to bring more leafy branches to keep the nest fresh. It appears that
sycamore leaves are the bedding of choice. After three weeks the chicks have lost most of their down and are beginning
to look more like hawks.
Mom brought a snake to the nest so the chicks could experience live prey.
After both chicks held it, Mom took it back and fed it to them.
These chicks are growing fast. Moving around in the nest is becoming more of a challenge.
