Great Egret cause and effect, White Rock Lake, Dallas, Texas
Heavy rain in the area attracts many egrets and herons to the spillway. After catching his fill of
fish, this male Great Egret flew to the top of the spillway steps to enjoy his easy meal and to
watch the effect of his feet on the water falling over the steps.
